Shady Rest Haunt
Welcome to Shady Rest Haunt.
What was once a stop for stagecoaches heading west has become a home to lost souls, a haven to monsters and cryptids, and a waystation for the undead. As you wander through our land you will meet the mistress of the mists. An unquiet spirit given form only by the fog that surrounds her. You will explore our ice cave, imported from the frozen crags of the Himalaya Mountains. Our gothic cemetery is home to many undead, including our corpse bride, endlessly searching for her husband. We recently hired a crew to clean up the toxic waste that was dumped here. We even brought in a scientist to make sure it was completed correctly, but after a freak accident involving some unknown sludge and a bag of microwave popcorn, he has gone quite insane. If he asks you to mix things together, well, you can do it, but it might explode.
What to expect:
We are not your typical trail/maze style haunt. We use long winding corridors to guide you through our scenes and "rooms". We take the time to allow our actors to act and spin a web of stories and tales to entertain you and fuel your nightmares. We use lights, lasers, water, fog, and sound effects to confuse your senses and attack your phobias.
As you wander through our land you will encounter some sloped surfaces, tree roots, two short stairways, and uneven ground.
We encourage our guests to take their time to enjoy the months of hard work that has gone into custom building our scenes, costumes, and props.

We buy firewood from the family when we go camping. Kids saw the signs and wanted to go. I was very surprised at the work that they put into this place.not what I was expecting at all. Being scared is not my thing but I have to admit I had fun. Will be back.
